Mining MQL5

Can useful trading hypotheses be systematically extracted from the MQL5 ecosystem and survive independent MSRLab validation?

Active

The aim is not to collect EAs. It is to convert a noisy ecosystem of code, articles, utilities, and product claims into explicit market hypotheses that can be independently rebuilt and challenged.

The funnel

Counts remain unclaimed until the pipeline produces a reproducible public snapshot.

What enters

  • Open CodeBase EAs and indicators
  • Trading-system articles and public descriptions
  • Rule patterns that can become native hypotheses
  • Utilities explicitly separated from strategies
03

What does not pass

  • Opaque wealth claims without testable rules
  • Grid and recovery tails treated as safe edge
  • Copied source promoted directly into deployment
  • Any candidate without broker-specific validation
FIRST-PASS FINDING

The MQL5 “Experts” listing is not a strategy database.

It mixes robots with panels, calculators, journals, spread monitors, and trade managers. Classification is part of the research—not administrative cleanup.

Current next step

Resume small cached discovery batches only after the institutional-memory layer is stable, then move selected ideas through native implementation and broker-specific real-tick validation.
